For BAU 18, a container of contemporary art, we selected six portraits from our series 'Weather the Storm,' which we printed and transformed into 120 unique pieces by reworking them with paint. Each piece is signed and numbered.

Every year, BAU curates a prestigious limited edition collection featuring original works from various artists. These box sets are held in numerous museums, archives, foundations, and public collections, including the MART in Rovereto, the Tate Modern Library in London, and the Bibliothèque Kandinsky at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

This series embodies the daily struggle, self-survival, the profound sense of solitude and alienation experienced by humans. At times, the most simple and mundane gestures become arduous. The snow assaults with ferocity, and together with the cold, transfigures the faces; the wind pushes back, yet each individual advances and resists, striving forward to reach their destination. The works incorporate handwritten phrases, extracted from journalistic reports on meteorological disasters, where sensationalist headlines often exaggerate the scale of the catastrophe. These statements paired with our images may appear abstract and delirious, but for us, they provide the essence and power to the original concept.
